What it does
Mint from a drop
- Notes
- A drop waiting for review mints nothing (403, "Minting opens once this drop passes review"), nor one refused (403, with why), here or in a Batch. A drop priced in a token is not minted here, nor an edition (each copy pays its fee in the purchase): buy it in one transaction (POST /studio/drop/{slug}/batch). A payment made inside a Batch is refused here, as wherever a payment is checked: it paid for what that Batch settled. After the sale's end (mint_end) a payment made before it still mints, as it would have then; one made after it mints nothing (403) and stays on the wallet's balance for the creator to refund. Every payment to the creator counts toward this wallet's balance on the drop, in full and once, and a mint spends from that balance: pay short and the answer is 402 with balance_drops and due_drops (the NFTs stay held: pay the rest, then send that payment_hash); pay more and the rest stays for the next mint; use_balance: true mints from it with no new payment. A price check (no payment_hash, no use_balance) holds what it prices for 3 minutes and answers 402 with total_drops and due_drops (total less the balance), or 403 saying why the wallet cannot mint now (not open yet, the whitelist's turn, paused); it holds nothing for a wallet that is not on the ledger or cannot pay due_drops. Asking again for another quantity replaces the hold. A payment hash counts once whatever its letter case. Past the wallet's limit (429) or after the last NFT (410) a payment stays on the balance for the creator to refund. A payment sent to minter_address by mistake (no destination tag) is refused and sent back. Each NFT is offered to wallet for 0: accept the offers; the price of one not delivered goes back on the balance. async: true answers 202 with a jobId (GET /studio/upload/job/{id}).
