What Is the Xaman Token Creator?

Token Creator is an xApp inside the Xaman wallet (formerly XUMM) that walks a user through issuing a new token on the XRP Ledger. It is a community-built tool listed in the Xaman xApp directory.

The flow handles every step in a single guided wizard: account setup, trustline configuration, supply issuance, and optional issuer blackhole. The user pays a flat 100 XRP fee for the service and gets a fully provisioned token in return.

Where Does the XRP Go?

Every successful launch sends the fee to a single dedicated wallet that has been blackholed using the standard XRPL pattern. Both of its signing paths have been neutralized, so once XRP arrives at that address it cannot be moved out by anyone — not the xApp developer, not Xaman, not Ripple.

Functionally this makes the launch fee a true burn rather than a service charge. There is no off-ledger treasury and no recoverable balance. The XRP is removed from the circulating supply for as long as the XRP Ledger exists.

Why It Matters

9,600 XRP is a small share of the daily on-ledger fee burn, but it represents something different: each burn is a deliberate user action, not a transaction-cost side effect. Every entry in this count is a wallet that chose to mint a token and pay a one-time premium for the convenience of doing it inside Xaman instead of crafting raw XRPL transactions.

For context, that is enough XRP to fund roughly 9,600 activated XRP Ledger accounts at the current 1 XRP base reserve, or to cover billions of standard transactions at typical fees.

XRPL.to identifies and tags every token launched through this xApp so traders can browse the full cohort, sort by volume, and see which Xaman-launched projects have meaningful activity.

FAQ

How much XRP has been burned by Xaman Token Creator?

9,600 XRP across 96 token launches. The number updates live on this page.

How much does it cost to launch a token through Xaman?

The Token Creator xApp charges a flat 100 XRP service fee per launch. On top of that you pay the standard XRPL account reserves and transaction fees, which add up to roughly 3-4 XRP more depending on whether you create an AMM pool.

Is XRP burned through Xaman recoverable?

No. The receiving wallet has been blackholed using the standard XRPL pattern, which permanently disables every signing path. The XRP cannot be retrieved by the developer, by Xaman, or by anyone else.

Does Xaman's burn affect XRP's deflationary mechanism?

It contributes to it, yes. The XRPL already burns small amounts of XRP on every transaction as a fee. The Xaman launch fee is a much larger per-event burn that compounds across every new token created in the wallet — currently averaging hundreds of XRP per day.
