Creating a token on the XRPL is dramatically cheaper than other chains. There are no gas fees and no smart contract deployment costs. The XRP Ledger uses a reserve-based model where you lock a small amount of XRP for each on-chain object you create. Most of this XRP is recoverable if you later remove those objects.
The primary costs are XRP reserve requirements, which ensure network resources are used responsibly. Transaction fees on the XRPL are negligible, typically less than a fraction of a cent.

Launching a token with an AMM pool costs roughly 3 to 4 XRP in ledger reserves, plus whatever XRP or tokens you add as initial liquidity.
