The XRPL hosts multiple fiat-backed stablecoins from regulated issuers. Trade, hold, and provide liquidity with dollar and euro-pegged tokens — all on-chain with 3-5 second settlement.

| USD (Bitstamp) | Bitstamp | USD | Fiat reserves |
| USD (GateHub) | GateHub | USD | Fiat reserves |

| EUR (GateHub) | GateHub | EUR | Fiat reserves |
| GBP (GateHub) | GateHub | GBP | Fiat reserves |
RLUSD is Ripple's USD-pegged stablecoin, backed 1:1 by cash deposits, US government Treasuries, and cash equivalents. It is issued on both the XRP Ledger and Ethereum, with monthly attestation reports published for transparency.
RLUSD has quickly become one of the most liquid stablecoins on the XRPL, with deep AMM pools and active CLOB order books. See the full RLUSD trading guide for details.
Before RLUSD, the XRPL stablecoin ecosystem was built by gateways — regulated entities that issue fiat-backed IOUs on the ledger. Bitstamp and GateHub are the two largest, offering USD, EUR, and GBP tokens.
These tokens are fully redeemable through their respective platforms. To hold them, you need a trustline to the specific issuer. Different issuers of the same currency (e.g., USD from Bitstamp vs USD from GateHub) are separate tokens with their own markets.
Swap into stablecoins, provide liquidity, or use them as your trading base.
