Size and yield
A pool’s yield is its fees divided by its size, so a small pool can show a spectacular figure from a few trades while the largest pools earn little:

The same ranking by APY, counting only pools holding at least 100,000 XRP, where a few trades cannot move the figure much:

How the APY is worked out
Every trade through a pool pays the pool’s trading fee, set by its liquidity providers’ vote anywhere from 0 to 1%. The fee stays in the pool, so each provider’s share grows. The APY here is the last 7 days’ fees as a share of the pool, times 52: last week’s pace, not compounded and not a promise. For XRP/BCHAMP: 5,280 XRP of fees on 244.0K XRP is 2.16% for the week, about 113% a year.
The risk the APY leaves out
A pool holds two assets and keeps their values equal, so as one rises the pool sells it, and as it falls the pool buys more. Compared with simply holding the two, a provider ends up with less whenever the price ratio moves: impermanent loss. It applies to RLUSD/XRP as much as to a meme coin pool, because XRP’s own price moves against the dollar; only a pool of two assets that keep the same price, such as two dollar stablecoins, avoids it. The impermanent loss guide shows how much a given move costs.
Questions
- Which XRP Ledger AMM pool pays the most?
