XRPL Airdrops - How to Qualify & Claim
Receive free tokens on the XRP Ledger. Here's how airdrops work and how to position yourself to receive them.
What Are XRPL Airdrops?
Airdrops are free token distributions sent to XRPL wallet holders. Projects airdrop tokens to build community, reward early supporters, or distribute governance tokens. On the XRPL, receiving an airdrop requires having a trustline set for that token before the snapshot.
How to Qualify for Airdrops
Where to Find Upcoming Airdrops
- Watch new token launches - new projects often announce airdrops at launch
- Check token detail pages for announcements and community links
- Follow XRPL project communities on social media
- Monitor trending tokens - sudden spikes in trustline count can signal an upcoming airdrop
Common Airdrop Requirements
- Trustline set - you must have a trustline for the airdropped token before the snapshot (most common)
- Minimum balance - hold at least X amount of a specific token
- NFT holder - own an NFT from a specific collection
- Trading activity - have made trades on the DEX within a time window
- LP position - provide liquidity in a specific AMM pool
Airdrop Safety
Never send XRP or tokens to "claim" an airdrop. Legitimate airdrops are sent directly to your wallet. If someone asks you to send funds first, it is a scam. Read the token safety guide to protect yourself.
Trustline Strategy
Each trustline locks 0.2 XRP in reserve. If you're setting trustlines for potential airdrops, be strategic - focus on tokens with active communities and clear airdrop announcements rather than setting hundreds of random trustlines.
You can remove trustlines after selling the airdropped tokens to free up your 0.2 XRP reserve. See the trustline guide for details.
