How to Swap Tokens on the XRP Ledger DEX

The XRP Ledger has a built-in decentralized exchange that has been running since 2012. Unlike other blockchains, the DEX is part of the protocol itself - no smart contracts needed. Transactions settle in 3-5 seconds, and fees are burned (not paid to validators), making it one of the cheapest exchanges in crypto.

You can swap between any two tokens issued on the XRPL, or trade any token against XRP. Browse the full list of available tokens on the token list.

The XRP Ledger itself charges no trading fee on the order book - matching an order costs only the network transaction cost of ~0.000012 XRP (~$0.00002). AMM pools charge a trading fee set by their liquidity providers, typically 0.1-1%. Swapping through xrpl.to adds a 0.4% platform fee, shown in the confirmation preview before you sign; trading straight against the ledger from your own wallet avoids it.
