How is the Website Theme Build
The Monerex website was built using a $24 WordPress theme from ThemeForest, with the images in the theme replaced, creating a low-effort scam allegedly.
Who Are the Founders of Monerex?
The founder of Monerox, Brendan Cornelissen also known as RememberLegend within the XRPL community, recently turned to Twitter to request donations in XRP. And the other founder, Mark J Otto, known for founding Hugetits and Coconuts on the XRP Ledger, has created a fake LinkedIn profile along with fully generated ChatGPT data and fictitious information has been created under name 'Mark Reyes' which has now been deleted, causing confusion and concern in the community. There is another fake Monerex Linkein profile for a Lead Compliance Officer at Monerex that goes by the name of Valentina Santiago. This incidents highlights the complexities and challenges that can arise in the digital and cryptocurrency spaces, where identity verification and authenticity are crucial yet often difficult to ascertain.
