SeMeg was found, not invented. Solveig Lovhaug photographed a moss-covered stone in a Norwegian forest on 6 October 2021 and saw a figure standing in it. This is that figure, built. His skin is the moss itself: every texture is cut from those photographs, nothing painted and nothing generated. The body is made only of X3DOM primitives - spheres, cylinders and half-tori - reused throughout by reference rather than copied. He animates himself, 6 looping timers driving 15 rotations and 3 movements through 38 routes. Open the animation link to see him move in your browser. Model, textures and the X3DOM engine itself are all stored permanently on Arweave, so the work renders from the permaweb alone, with no dependency on any content delivery network.
