Dery was found, not invented. Solveig Lovhaug photographed a tree stump in a Norwegian forest on 13 February 2024 and saw a figure standing in it. This is that figure, built. His skin is the stump's own bark: every texture is cut from those photographs, nothing painted and nothing generated. The body is made only of X3DOM primitives - spheres, cylinders and half-tori - reused throughout by reference rather than copied. He animates himself, 6 looping timers driving 13 rotations and 3 movements through 35 routes. Open the animation link to see him move in your browser.
