Lugne was found, not invented. Solveig Lovhaug photographed a tree stump in a Norwegian forest on 20 March 2023 and saw a figure standing in it. This is that figure, built. His skin is the stump's own bark: every texture is cut from those photographs, nothing painted and nothing generated. The body is made only of X3DOM primitives - spheres, cylinders and half-tori - reused throughout by reference rather than copied. He animates himself, 6 looping timers driving 14 rotations and 3 movements through 35 routes. Open the animation link to see him move in your browser. Model, textures and the X3DOM engine itself are all stored permanently on Arweave, so the work renders from the permaweb alone, with no dependency on any content delivery network.
