"Fragments of Light" Animated NFT from a Physical Painting Art is more than a medium; it’s a journey of discovery. This NFT is the animated version of an original 79 x 79 inch (2 x 2 meter) acrylic on canvas painting, bringing movement and light to a traditionally structured form. It all began with 8mm glass mosaic tiles during the pandemic—a fascination with light, its movement, and its eternal presence, inspired by Walter Russell’s The Secret of Light. Seeking durability and practicality, I transitioned from small glass mosaics to painting, while keeping the core concept intact: breaking down an image into structured light fragments, much like pixels or tiles. To achieve the precision I envisioned, I chose 0.79-inch (2cm) "pixels" on a large-scale canvas (79 x 79 inches)—big enough to bring coherence and depth to the composition. Since pre-made canvases couldn’t meet my needs, I took the challenge upon myself: learning to build my own canvases from scratch. With a miter saw, rolls of raw canvas, and a commitment to craftsmanship, I constructed each canvas by hand, ensuring both quality and control over my work. Now, this piece evolves into the digital world through animation, merging traditional fine art with motion, creating a new visual experience where light dances across the structured grid.
