Counts what accounts hold right now. Closing a trustline or selling an NFT returns an account to zero, so anyone who traded and exited is not counted here.
Who funds new XRPL accounts, and what those accounts actually do once they exist. Activity is read from the ledger itself, so it counts every transaction type — not just the trades and NFT sales we index.
Of the 1,624 accounts that never signed anything, 986 received nothing but sub-cent payments after activation — spam, not onboarding. Only 0 were left completely untouched. 159 hold a trustline, NFT or offer right now.
Funding is an on-chain fact and covers every account. The app is self-declared — only 0.88% of activation payments carry one, so “apps they used” reflects what the cohort traded through afterwards, not what created the account.
Only xrpl.to sets a verified name — never the sender, never the account itself. That's the point: if you paste a lookalike address, no badge appears. The absence is the warning. Verified exchange destinations also carry a Tag required flag, so a deposit that would arrive unattributed gets caught before you sign.
