DEMO-CRAZY is part of a larger body of work on political and religious crisis in Nigeria. The painting shows the government as the main suspect having the tools to stop insecurity but refusing to act for selfish and corrupt gain. The central figure show a man with the head of a wolf, depicting the nature of greedy/ wicked politicians who would rather stand and watch people die than take action, by the left and right we have the executive and legislative arms of the government, working as tools in the hands of greedy politicians, allowing and benefiting from corruption and insecurity. Behind them we see chaos, but they turn their backs to the cries of the people. To the far left we have a Christian priest and a Muslim Imam playing clowns, also acting as tools, deceiving their followers, misinterpreting the will of God, and keeping quiet at the face of injustice. At the far distance are the young people, distracted by social media trends and gossips, ignoring much pressing matters of the country. Hovering above the scene are vultures, signifying interests, acting as puppet masters. This is a crime scene , this shouldn't be... Democracy in Nigeria has turn crazy... We are at a breaking point, this is not just a painting this is a protest. Human lives should not be a game to politicians.
