This is an original parody piece that combines two traditional Japanese lucky charms: the maneki-neko (beckoning cat) and the daruma (daruma doll). In order to make a wish come true, Daruma paints an eye in his left eye (the beginning of things) (阿Ah) and when the wish is fulfilled, paints an eye in his right eye (the end of things) (吽Un). When the beckoning cat raises its right paw, money will be attracted. If it raises its right paw high, money will be attracted from far away, and if it raises its paw low, money will be attracted from nearby. When the beckoning cat raises its left paw, people gather. If it raises its paw high, people far away will gather, and if it raises its paw low, people close by will gather. The colors also have meanings: black wards off evil, gold and yellow mean luck with money, red means luck with health, blue means luck with studies, and pink means luck in love. Sometimes it is used as a vessel to seal away rampaging demons.
